Tea, coffee and rusks are available in all the rooms and each one is also fitted with a fridge. Interesting reading material on Prince Albert and the surrounding areas is accessible in the rooms or in the communal lounge.

We want you to feel at home at Karoo Khaya. Escape the heat of the Karoo day or enjoy a sundowner in our sitting pool with a waterfall in an enclosed garden.
We have a boma with braai facilities (wood and braai equipment supplied). We have a guest lounge with DSTV and an extensive library – all overlooking the garden and expansive vista’s of mountains and windmills.
Pets are welcome and kids will love the farm animals and are welcome to help out at feeding time. Adults will appreciate the distant Karoo hills at dusk and the rising night sky from the first floor sundecks. There are no lights or town noise to spoil the experience.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
In order to guarantee your reservation we require a deposit of 50% of the total accommodation.
Reservations may only be kept for 24 hours without a secured deposit and will be cancelled automatically if not confirmed by receipt of the required deposit.
Full payment must be made if booked less than a week before the start of the reservation.
Confirmation of the reservation will be issued upon receipt of the deposit.
OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
Within 7 days of arrival will not be entitled to a deposit refund.
Between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival will be entitled to 50% of the deposit refundable.
More than 14 days prior to arrival will be entitled to 75% of the deposit refundable

Driving directions
From Cape Town: Take the N1 to Laingsburg. Roughly 80km past Laingsburg turn right at Prince Albert Road.
From Johannesburg Take the N1 to Beaufort West. Roughly 80 km past Beaufort West turn left at Prince Albert Road
From Prince Albert Road Station drive 45km to Prince Albert. As you head into town you will pass a Spar on your left. Take the next left. There is a Karoo Khaya signboard on the corner. Take the short gravel road to the black gate. Come inside or give a hoot!
From George Drive to Oudtshoorn From Oudtshoorn you have 2 options:
1: Through Meiringspoort: Take the road to Beaufort West. This takes you to De Rust and then through Meiringspoort. Just after Klaarstroom take the (signposted) left turn to Prince Albert. From here it is 53km to Prince Albert. Drive through town. Turn right into Sonskyn Road. There is a Karoo Khaya sign on the corner. Take the short gravel road to the black gate. Come inside or give a hoot!
2. SwartbergPass: Take the CangoCaves road towards Calitzdorp. Take the Swartberg Pass/Prince Albert turn off and go over the SwartbergPass. This route is slightly shorter, but takes the same length of time, as the Swartberg is a gravel road that needs to be taken at a slow speed. But it is well worth it – the pass is spectacular. At the end of the pass you will come to a T-junction. Take a left and drive through town. Turn right into Sonskyn Road. There is a Karoo Khaya sign on the corner. Take the short gravel road to the black gate. Come inside or give a hoot!
