The Swartberg Hotel is a haven of character and atmosphere from the stylish rooms in the hotel and the cottage accommodation in the restful garden to the true South African delights of the dining room.
In summer lunches and teas are served on the verandah, at the swimming pool or in the air-conditioned coffee shop. Evening meals are served in the gracious dining-room. During a chilly Karoo winter's evening, when the mountains are capped with snow, log fires blaze in the lounge, dining room and ladies bar.
Prince Albert is easily reached from the N1 - just 40km from the Prince Albert Road turnoff, and is the perfect stop over if you are traveling between Cape town and the interior of South Africa. The road to Prince Albert from the N2 is a little longer, but the magnificent sights of Meiringspoort or the SwartbergPass are truely breathtaking, and a chance to experience either should not be missed.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
In order to guarantee your reservation we require a deposit of 50% of the total accommodation.
Reservations are usually kept for 24 hours without a secured deposit and will be cancelled automatically if not confirmed by receipt of the required deposit.
Full payment must be made if booked less than a week before the start of the reservation.
Confirmation of the reservation will be issued upon receipt of the deposit.
OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
Within 7 days of arrival will not be entitled to a deposit refund.
Between 7 and 14 days prior to arrival will be entitled to 50% of the deposit refundable.
More than 14 days prior to arrival will be entitled to 75% of the deposit refundable
The Swartberg Hotel offers three single rooms and nine twin rooms in the main building, as well as one double room and five cottages set in the tranquil garden. Four of these cottages can accommodate up to four guests in two bedrooms - perfect for families. All rooms are equipped with a telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and a television with selected DSTV channels.
Driving directions
Prince Albert is approximately 400 km from Cape Town, and can be reached from the N1 (turn off at Prince Albert Road), or from Route 62 and the N2 via the world-renowned SwartbergPass or through Meiringpoort. The Swartberg Hotel is situated in the main street of Prince Albert.
