The 4 star Artist’s Cottage in Prince Albert, is vibrantly styled with a mix of contemporary South African craft and design, carefully restored vintage furniture and Sally Arnold paintings. Recently extended to include a new bedroom, bathroom and two outdoor seating areas, the cottage now offers a stylish and cozy self-catering retreat for two adults.

This self catering cottage’s facilities comprise a fully equipped kitchen with original 50’s gas stove (four burners and oven), vintage cast iron Dover wood stove, fridge, iron and ironing board, a small lounge/dining room, adjoining bedroom with king size bed, air conditioning/heating, mosquito net and hanging storage space, bathroom with extra-long bathtub, walk in shower, hand basin and hair dryer, DSTV (bring your own card) and wifi internet.

The sunny courtyard terrace leads onto a sheltered seating/lounging area facing the swimming pool and garden, with outdoor furniture, sun umbrella and portable barbecue. Percale linen, towels and dressing gowns are provided. Serviced once weekly with a laundry service on the premises for a small additional fee. Lovely views of the Koppie and sunsets, easy walking distance to town centre and onto leisure trails in the magnificent Swartberg Pass, a designated World Heritage site. Driving directions

From the N1, turn off at Prince Albert Road (train station) onto the R328 and follow the sign to Prince Albert (approx 43km). When entering Prince Albert town, carry straight through (South) on the main road (Church Street). Take Parsonage Street at ABSA Bank corner, cross Mark Straat, continue straight ahead up narrow alley. Turn left into Nuwe Straat, after 500m; No. 15 is on your right.
