Mountain Manor Guesthouse, a majestic Cape Mansion, dating back to 1852, is situated at the foot of Table Mountain and within easy access of all Cape Town's major Tourist attractions. All eleven of our rooms are en-suite and spacious with tranquil décor of white cotton percale sheeting and Colonial furniture.

The ambience of the Guest House is directed solely at creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere for our international multi-lingual clientele in a truly authentic Cape Colonial setting. Original Cape antique furniture creates a lovely home from home Colonial experience. A roaring fireplace in winter – warms the chills away.

Our rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, right down to our quality bed linen and toweling. Extra length king and Three Quarter size beds are also available. Creature comforts such as Television, hairdryers, clock radios and telephones are all provided. Plug adapters for overseas visitors can be hired from reception.

The location presents you with breathtaking views of both Table Mountain and the City of Cape Town. Our garden setting provides our visitors with the ideal setting in which that feeling of being on holiday actually becomes a reality. Our two pool areas give you the places to relax and unwind and enjoy the South African sunshine – within reach of a cold beer or glass of wine.

Scrumptious South African breakfasts are included in the daily rates. We offer a room service and a Mr. Delivery service from many restaurants nearby. A wide variety of restaurants surround the Guest House and we recommend accordingly. Most are within walking distance. We offer collections and drop-offs to and from Cape Town International airport. We also have shuttles in and around the City centre. Tours can be arranged to all the exciting attractions of the Western Cape.

Cancellation Policies:

For incoming FIT – 7 day cancellation period exists

For groups – ie more than 5 rooms at any one time – a 30 (thirty) day cancellation period applies.

We will always endeavour to re-sell rooms for you in the event of a cancellation. If this is not possible, you will be billed for the full amount, payable on invoice.

Whatever rooms are re-sold – this amount will be credited to your company in terms of room credits.

Payment Policy:

A 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit is payable on the booking of a room/s. The balance is payable 7 days prior to arrival for individuals and 30 days prior to arrival for groups.

SHUTTLES:

We have a taxi service available to our guests at R 10-00 per km

Airport shuttles at R 360-00 per one traveller

R 190-00 per two travellers each

R 200-00 per 3 – 6 travellers each

DAY ROOM RATES:

Conditions:

• Nights do NOT have to be consecutive nights booked to accrue credits on the 10 night special.
• Credit nights have to be used within the current season of August– Sept 2010.
• Free night out of season does NOT include breakfasts (R 95-00)

• We require at least a 6(six) hour cancellation notice on any rooms.
• 20% discount after 5pm must be paid with cash /eft immediately on arrival. A credit card payment will only attract a 15% discount and NO bill backs.

Driving directions

From the airport N2:

Follow the highway into CAPE TOWN -

On hospital bend (on a sharp curve) move across to the left hand side of the road and follow M3 DE WAAL DRIVE into Cape Town.

Take the M3 CABLE WAY turnoff to the left into Jutland Avenue

Go past the Gardens Shopping centre on the left and move across into the left lane BEFORE the traffic lights.

At the traffic lights turn left into BREDA Street

We are second block on the left -Number 17

From City centre/Waterfront/N1

Find Buitengracht street  follow it up towards the mountain

At a set of robots turn left into Buitensingle.

Go down a steep slope and follow the road around past the Mount Nelson (You are now in Mill Street)

and at the second set of robots (FIRST NATIONAL BANK on the corner) turn right into BREDA street.

If you go past the Gardens shopping centre on the right, you have gone to far.
