Our Guest House B&B rooms are spacious and finely furnished with attention to detail & comfort. Three upstairs double rooms with en suite bathrooms are furnished in pale wood & tranquil colors, offering tea & coffee facilities, telephone & internet connectivity, TV & heated towel rails.
Adjoining each room are specially designed private opening balconies with comfortable recliners for enjoying the magnificent mountain and forest views or just basking in the oasis of peace & tranquility. From the downstairs family room, consisting of 2 adjoining double rooms, stable doors open onto a paved area & from here it is a short walk to the pool or onto the mountain side.
Surrounded by an oasis of greenery a short walk from the Guest House is our self catering accommodation. The ground floor unit opens onto lush green lawn, with a sensation of space created by the not too distant "ring of mountains". Our upstairs units sport unimpaired mountain & forest views. All self catering units have a spacious, restful yet colorful feel, with themes taken from nature. Tasteful kitchens, neat clean cut bathrooms containing showers, offer magnificent forest & mountain vistas.

The exciting V&A Waterfront & the beautiful City of Cape Town with its many attractions & bustling night life are a short drive away while Hout Bay has superb restaurants to fit all budgets. Within 20 - 30 minutes drive of False Bay suburbs, Simons town our naval base, Kalk bay a quaint small fishing harbor, Boulders Beach with its Penguin colony & Cape Point, where the Indian & Atlantic Oceans meet.

The three upstairs rooms are double or twin bedded, with en suite bathroom, including separate bath & shower & opening balconies with magnificent mountain & forest views. Adjoining each room are specially designed, private opening balconies with comfortable recliners for soaking up the ambience. Rooms are equipped with Television and Coffee making facilities.
Our downstairs family room consists of 2 spacious adjoining rooms with shower and toilet facilities. Stable doors lead onto a patio and from here it is a short walk to our secluded pool lying in an amphitheater created by the surrounding mountains, offering stunning views & a sense "being at one with nature". We boast a unique combination of sophistication & relaxation, blending the beauty and serenity of our forested, tranquil mountain paradise with comfort.

All self catering units have a spacious, restful yet colorful feel, with themes taken from nature. The kitchens are tastefully equipped with 4 plate hobs, microwave ovens & combined fridge & freezer units. Neat clean cut bathrooms contain glass panel showers & offer magnificent forest & mountain vistas.
Driving directions
Via the N2 from Cape Town International Airport: From the Airport take the N2 in the direction of Cape Town, then follow Kirstenbosch & M3 Muizenburg signs. At the first set of lights turn right in the direction of Kirstenbosch, ie. the M63 to Kirstenbosch & Hout Bay. At Constantia Nek - you go through a roundabout.
TO SUNBIRD MOUNTAIN RETREAT (B&B & Self-Catering Accommodation) Approximately 2.6 km from Constantia Neck, turn right at Disa River Road and cross a single lane traffic bridge. At the T-junction turn right into Valley Road. At the first stop street turn left into Longkloof Road and then again left at the T-junction, into Foresthill Street. The first road to the right a short distance later is Boskykloof Road. It is a good dirt road for approximately 250 m then take a sharp right into Sunbird Mountain Retreat's driveway, just before the last entrance on this road.
