The Villa del Lago cottage consists of one main bedroom with a large double bed. A second smaller bedroom with two single beds. Opposite the bedrooms are two bathrooms. One with a shower, toilet, and hand basin. The second bathroom has a bath, hand basin, and toilet.
The passage way leads into an open plan lounge, kitchen area. The kitchen comprises all the usual facilities, four plate stove, kettle, toaster, and micro wave oven, and electric grill, fridge with deep freeze compartment, crockery and cutlery. The comfortable lounge has a lounge suite of arm chairs, a coffee table, a fan, and a fire place.
Each bedroom is equipped with an electric fan, heater, electric blanket, bedside lamps, and television set. All linen is provided and the cottage is serviced on all normal working days Monday to Friday. Other facilities include a hair dryer, hot water bottle, ironing board, electric iron, and braai and seating facilities outside.
We are situated just off the N2 with views of the lagoon from the bedrooms and the lounge. Within walking distance are two restaurants. One is an Italian Restaurant and the other specializes in Curries and Spiced food. The Spectacularly situated Simola Golfing Estate is three and a half kilometers further up the Old Cape Road.

A. You enter the property off Old Cape Road through a large black steel gate, large enough for your vehicle to park on the property off the street. The building itself is a Tuscan styled mustard colored building
B. It has three entrances all double glass doors. The first leads from where you park straight into the main bedroom. The second leads off the lounge into the front garden area. Here there are two benches and a round table. The third leads off the lounge into the back braai area. The lounge has all the normal furniture you would expect and a fire place. It is open plan with the kitchen at one end of the lounge. There is a dining room table with six chairs. Off the lounge there is a passage leading to the main bedroom en-suite and a bedroom and bathroom. This is a very private unit
C. Kindly bear in mind that to get to reception you need to drive past the cottage and turn right up Disa street to number 9, which is the main mustard looking house with a blue car port. As you stand on the street next to the cottage you will see the main house above, at the top of the property
1. The flat is very comfortable apartment overlooking the lake. It has a lovely private veranda with barbeque facilities. The sitting room & kithen area is open and very comfortable Spectacular views of the lagoon from the flat and not to mention the Simola Golfing Estate is just 3.5 kilometers further up the Old Cape Road.
2. You arrive at the flat by walking through a garden which is exclusively for the use of our guests. There are braai facilities by way of a Webber placed on a steel table which is also very useful. The table acts as a warming oven by placing the plates near the Webber on top of the table, which is warmed by the fire in the Webber. There is another table with benches attached which is the seating area. This table has an umbrella for use in hot weather. There is an outside security light for this area.
3. Entrance to the flat is by way of two large double glassed doors which lead out on to the verandah. The first door leads directly into the bedroom, and the second into the lounge. Within the lounge area which is open plan is a kitchenette. The cooking area is well equipped with all necessary crockery and cutlery for your use. In terms of cooking facilities there is a two plate electric stove, which does not have an oven and a microwave oven. The fridge is large, with freezing facilities Leading off the bedroom is the bathroom consisting of a bath toilet and hand basin. There is no shower in the flat.
4. Apart from the normal furniture that you would expect in the lounge there is a large sleeper couch which makes up another double bed. There is a television set. There is a fire place within the lounge, as well has two heaters supplied and fans for summer. There is a magnificent view from the verandah, with seating facilities. In terms of parking there is off road open parking under a shade port.
Driving directions
To get to Villa del Lago by air fly to Cape Town connect to George airport. From airport take the N2 highway to Knysna. You travel through Wilderness 18km away, to Sedgefield and on to Knysna. As you arrive the lagoon is ahead and you cross over the bridge.
Continue driving around the edge of the lagoon past Red Bridge road and Welbedacht road turn-off. Continue on straight ahead until you get to the sign saying Eastford Gouna and Simola. Turn extreme left on to Old Cape Road. Villa del Lago is 0.2km on the right hand side. To get to reception continue and turn right into Disa Street. It is 0.3km from the cottage to house 142 Disa Street.
