Built as a mission station in 1888, this stunning guesthouse offers old-time chic, a touch of colonial splendour with warm, personalised and outstanding service.
We have eight elegantly decorated but 'cosy' en-suite rooms. For guests looking for something extra special, we have suites with private pools or Jacuzzi set in secluded courtyards. CLASSROOM SUITE This former missionary-classroom features period high ceilings, with direct access to a boutique garden & courtyard. The room has a king-sized bed, charming large bathroom with double washing basins, separate shower, bath and bidet. There is under floor heating in the bathroom, a cosy fireplace in the bedroom and an advanced airconditiong and heating system in the room.
COMFORT ROOM These delightful up-stairs loft rooms are en-suite with a shower over the bath. Your entrance is via an indoor balustrade that overlooks our ‘Mission- Hall’ lounge. The Comfort rooms have lovely mountain views from the bed & bathroom windows. There is airconditioning in the rooms.
COURTYARD ROOM The Courtyard rooms lead off from our ‘Mission Hall’ and have access to either a boutique garden or small private courtyard. Both rooms have en-suite spacious bathrooms which have a separate showers and baths. There is under floor heating and advanced airconditiong and heating systems in both bedrooms.
ELEPHANT ROOM This room is also used as our romantic Honeymoon Suite. The room features a beautifully styled themed bedroom, with ensuite open plan bathroom and leading on from the bedroom area is a private living room with a wall of glass windows looking over a secluded sunny private patio, sparkling swimming pool and outdoor shower. Another special feature is two cosy fireplaces one in the bedroom and one in the living room area. There is also under floor heating in the living room for those cooler days and for the warm balmy nights airconditioning in both the bedroom and lounge area with a fridge to keep the champagne or wine cool!
HIDDEN MISSIONARY ROOM This deliteful room with its own cosy fireplace is very secluded and features a private veranda and courtyard leading on to a sparkling private splash pool. The room features an extra long king-sized bed, charming en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bath, and advanced airconditiong and heating system.
SUNDECK JACUZZI ROOM This popular beautiful private upstairs loft room features an extra long king-sized bed and an open plan bathroom with full body massage shower and an advanced airconditioning and heating system. The very special feature of this room is that it has its own large private sundeck and heated Jacuzzi with outdoor shower all overlooking the Franschhoek mountains and valley.
