The Manor House and Barn House consists of guest house accommodation. Self-catering accommodation is also available. All rooms have magnificent views of the landscaped gardens, pool area, ornamental dams and surrounding mountains.

Val d’Or Estate is close to Boschenmeer Golf and Country Estate and Pearl Valley Signature Golf Estate and Spa and we are also within half an hour’s drive to De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate, SpierGolfAcademy, Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate and within 45 minutes drive from Erinvale Golf Club. Slightly further afield you will find Milnerton Golf Club, Atlantic Beach Golf Club, Riverside Golf Club, Steenberg Golf Club and Arabella Golf Club.

All rates are quoted in South African Rand and foreign currency payments are accepted at the daily bank rate of exchange valid in South Africa on the date that payment is received.
Cancellation Policy:
A 25% cancellation fee will apply on the full booking amount should cancellation occur less than 30 days prior to arrival.
A 50% cancellation fee will apply on the full booking amount should cancellation occur less than 14 days prior to arrival.
A 100% cancellation fee will apply on the full booking amount should cancellation occur less than 3 days prior to arrival.
In the event of a premature departure or no show, the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged.

Barn House DeLuxe Family Suite - Sleeps 2 and 2 children under 12 years on a sleeper couch Two deluxe family rooms with full bathrooms, lounges, sleeper couches (children under 12 welcome and stay for free!), private patios and magnificent views of the pool area, dams and surrounding mountains. The deluxe family rooms have under floor heating, tea/coffee making facilities, minibar, robes, safes, televisions and air conditioners ensuring your comfort throughout the year.
Barn House Gallery Rooms - There are two De Luxe Gallery Rooms on the second floor of the Barn House. Each bedroom has magnificent views of the swimming pool, garden, dams and surrounding mountains. Both rooms have luxurious bathrooms, tea/coffee making facilities, robes, safes, televisions, mini bars, under floor heating and air conditioners to ensure your comfort throughout the year. A sitting room and balcony sharing the rooms' magnificent views are part of the upstairs exclusive use area.
De Luxe Self-catering Unit - Sleeps 4 and 2 children under 12 years on a sleeper couch One deluxe self-catering villa with 2 bedrooms (sleeps 4), a sleeper couch (children under 12 years stay for free), a full family bathroom, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, private patio and magnificent views of the pool area, dams and surrounding mountains. The deluxe rooms as well as the deluxe villa have under floor heating, tea/coffee making facilities, robes, amenities, safes, television with DSTV and air conditioners, ensuring your comfort throughout the year. A barbecue area is specifically reserved for this unit. Rates for the self-catering unit is per whole unit, not per person.
DeLuxe Rooms Manor House - One deluxe room with full bathroom, private patio and views of the gardens and surrounding mountains. Two deluxe rooms with shower bathrooms, private patios and views of the gardens and surrounding mountains. The Manor House as a complete self-catering unit - Sleeps 8 The Manor House consists of a country kitchen, an elegant dining area, a cosy lounge and TV room with satellite television as well as a sunny breakfast area where you can enjoy breakfast indoors or under the shady trees. There are four bedrooms consisting of one deluxe room with full bathroom, two deluxe rooms with shower bathrooms, and one standard room with shower bathroom. Each bedroom has its own private patio and different views of the surrounding mountains. All the rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, televisions, underfloor heating and air conditioners to ensure your comfort throughout the year. The barbecue area may be used by all guests.

Driving directions
Directions to Val d'Or from Cape TownInternationalAirport Take the N2 South towards Somerset West. After about 2km, take the first exit: the R300 to Bellville and Durbanville The R300 will take you through to the N1. Turn onto the N1 towards Paarl. Thereafter follow the directions below
Directions to Val d'Or from Cape Town
From Cape Town, take the N1 highway towards Paarl.
Continue on the N1 until you reach Exit 47 the R44 Stellenbosch / (R101) Klapmuts / Wellington turn-off (about 19.5km after the R300 turn-off). Take this turn-off and turn right at the stop sign at the bottom of the turn-off.
Go under the bridge and cross over the four-way stop indicating (R101). Continue on this road for about 500 metres where you will see the (R45) turn-off to Franschhoek to your left. Take this road and travel for approximately 9km until you reach the T-junction (you will see Vrede en Lust on your right and cross over an old rail track right before you reach the T-junction).
At the T-junction turn right towards Franschhoek R45. You will find Kaap Agri and the Exel Petrol Garage on your left and Plaisir de Merle on your right. 1km further you will find Simondium Country Lodge on your left. Continue along this road and pass the R310 to Stellenbosch, which will be on your right about 2.1km further. Cross the DwarsRiver bridge, pass the Groot Drakenstein Games Club on your left and L’Omarins on your right. Continue past Graham Beck and Bridge House on your right and The Riverside on your left. You will then cross the BergRiver bridge.
From here it is approximately 2.9 kilometres until you find the Val d'Or Estate entrance on your left. [Our tourism sign is located directly after Le Manoir de Brendel’s tourism sign.]
Turn left onto a sand/dirt road. Travel along this road for approximately 700m and enter through the gates. At the fork, choose to go right and at the second fork, right again. This road will take you to Reception and Check-in.
