The Map Room is located in one of the oldest and grandest streets of Franschhoek; Cabriere Street, one of the last streets to remain un-tarred in the village, where tractors still ply the track. This unusual 2 bedroom self catering accommodation is arranged over two floors with the bedrooms downstairs & the living area upstairs.

LIVING QUARTERS AT RAISED GROUND LEVEL

One gargantuan master bedroom with inbuilt sultan’s bath leading into an en-suite ‘wet-room’ with shower, loo and basin. There is a ceiling fan above the bed and heating panels on the walls. The second bedroom has two single beds (that can be made up sid-by-side) and an en-suite shower and loo.

Driving directions

From Cape Town

As you enter the village pass BP Garage on the left and enter the main road. Go past Pick’n Pay Supermarket on your left. Turn first right into Reservoir Street and follow the Street to the bottom T-junction with Cabriere Street (dirt road) and turn right. The Map Room is the last cottage on the right at the junction with Daniel Hugo Street.

From over the Pass

Turn right into the main street at the monument. Look for Le Quartier Francais Hotel on your left after 300 metres. Take the next first left into Reservoir Street and follow the Street to the bottom T-junction with Cabriere Street (dirt road) and turn right. The Map Room is the last cottage on the right at the junction with Daniel Hugo Street.
