The Slanghoek Mountain Resort is nestled in the magnificent and clandestine, Slanghoek Valley, on the slopes of the Badsberg Conservation Area. During winter months the Slanghoek Valley reveals some of its secret beauty when its mountains are covered with snow.
We have 8 fully equipped self-catering chalets from a two sleeper to a six sleeper, 7 of them with inside braais the other with a fireplace. We also have 13 self-catering safari tents sleeping two or four each with kitchenette and own en-suite shower and toilet. We have two swimming pools, trampoline, putt-putt and jungle gym for the kids. All this is situated under a century old oak tree forest.
In addition we have 14 grassed camp sites with a stream running through them situated between the vineyards on our farm about 800m from the rest of the resort. There is a swimming pool, trampoline and jungle gym. It is equipped with electricity and water points and also has showers and toilet facilities in wooden huts.
The area is surrounded with cellars, vineyards and mountains. Slanghoek has three wine cellars where the best wines can be tasted and bought at the lowest prices. To name only a few, the Karoo National Botanical Garden, KWV Brandy Cellar and Kleinplasie open air Farm Museum are worth a visit.
For the walking enthusiasts we have 2 walks. To the lookout point which about 1 hour and to a waterfall site which takes about 3 hours. 4x4 needed to get to the starting point of this one. Please take note: Unfortunately we will not be doing quad bike trips on the farm anymore.
We have two conference facilities that can take either max 20 or max 150 depending on the seating arrangements. All catering provided. For weddings with a small dance space we can fit 120 guests in our hall. Our chapel can only take 64, but we can have a ceremony at our lapa for maximum 100 guests. Our lapa and hall are also available for year end functions.

The camping area is equipped with 220v power points. Rates include electricity. Maximum 2 vehicles per site provided there is adequate space left on the site. Please make sure that your caravan, vehicle, etc are parked inside the borders of your site. Only one caravan per site. Extra tents allowed. Do not use canvas which will damage grass. (Must have holes) Maximum 6 persons per site not including children 3 years and younger. Note: The campsites are about 500m from the chalets and safari tents..

Driving directions
LOCATION 10 Kilometres from Rawsonville and 60 minutes drive from Cape Town. The Resort is part of the Badsberg Conservancy and is surrounded by Mountains. To the south, West and North are the Slanghoek Mountain range and to the east is the Badsberg Mountain. Slanghoek mountain Resort is centrally situated between Ceres, Worcester, Tulbagh, Wolseley, Robertson, Paarl, Franchhoek and Stellenbosch. The famous hot water Goudini Spa is 4 kilometres from the resort.
HOW TO GET THERE! From Cape Town take the N1 to Paarl, through Du Toitskloof, turn right to Rawsonville on the R101. On the R101, drive until you reach the first road crossing. Turn left here (look for the Slanghoek road sign). Drive for about 10km, past Goudini Spa, past Slanghoek Wine Cellar, past Opstal Estate until you reach the Slanghoek Mountain Resort sign on your right.
From Pretoria on the N1, pass Worcester, pass Shell Ultra City and then turn left to Rawsonville at the R101 turnoff. On the R101 drive until you reach the second road crossing. Turn right here (look for the Slanghoek roadsign). Drive for about 10km, past Goudini Spa, past Slanghoek Wine Cellar, Past Opstal Estate until you reach the Slanghoek Mountain Resort sign on your right.
