So-verby" means "just beyond" — beyond the border of Cape Town and Stellenbosch. By coincidence it has an appropriate meaning in Danish too: "Sleep village". When you choose Soverby for your accommodation, you will sleep in what was once a wine cellar, built in 1907 by the Joubert Family. Later the cellar was converted into a stable, and as farming methods changed and cooperative wineries were established, the rooms each took on yet another new purpose.
Soverby Guesthouses offers both B&B and self-catering accommodation and is situated near the Spier Estate, golf courses and beaches while being just 20 min from Cape TownAirport. Soverby has eight rooms/suites and three self-catering cottages. All rooms stand apart from the main house and each has its own courtesy fridge, television, telephone and coffee/tea making facilities with home baked rusks supplied daily.
One swimming pool is shared by the cottages, and another at the Guest House is available to other guests. In the mornings, a generous breakfast is served to the early morning screeching of guinea-fowl in the vineyards. By prior arrangement you can also have your breakfast or cheese platter as a picnic at the farm lake.
Enjoy bird watching, harvesting in the vineyards, or have a memorable sundowner with a group of friends. You can also have a pool sundowner or just relax with a book or enjoy the spectacular view over the mountains. Braai facilities are available at the back of the rooms with amazing views of the Stellenbosch and HelderbergMountains.

Drive through Kuilsriver.

At T-junction left to Stellenbosch.
At Total garage (big strawberry) turn right into Annandale road.
